The Beginning is the soundtrack to my three-minute film of the same name, which you can watch here:

It was inspired by strange, unexplainable childhood memories and the idea that certain events in our lives can cast long shadows.

The B-side, Witches' Tricks, is a bite of Halloween candy. The title comes from an incident that I recall from my time at infants' school in the '70s, when hailstones the size of small pebbles started raining down on the playground. I'd never seen such a thing; and as we ran inside, a girl shouted: "Witches' tricks!"
